Today we are going to talk about one such Sikh warrior. Hearing the story of his bravery, the head of anyone bowed down at his feet. The enemy used to tremble in his name.

These were the only early warriors of history who, despite being beheaded in war, kept fighting on the palm keeping it in their hands.

Yes, we are talking about Baba Deep Singh Ji, the great warrior of Sikh history. Baba Deep Singh ji showed the gallantry and courage during the war, he brought the invaders to their knees.

Got religion and weapons knowledge from tenth father

Baba Deep Singh Ji’s parents Bhai Bhagtu (भगतु ) and mother (जिओनी जी) Gionee Ji lived in the village Pahwind in Amritsar. Brother Bhagatu used to work in agriculture and due to the grace of God, there was no shortage of anything in the house.

But he did not have any children, due to which he always prayed to God that he should get child happiness in his life.One day he met a saint Mahatma, who told him that a very quality child will be born here and name it Deep.

Sometime later on 26 January 1682, Baba Deep Singh Ji was born. Being the only son, the parents raised Deep Singh very dearly

When Deep Singh ji was 12 years old, his parents took him to Anandpur Sahib. Where for the first time he met Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs.

In Anandpur Sahib, Deep Singh ji acquired knowledge of Sikh philosophy and Guru Granth Sahib under the guidance of Guru ji.

He taught many other languages ​​along with Gurmukhi. Even Guru Gobind Singh Ji himself taught him horse riding, hunting and weapons.

At the age of 18, he sprayed amrit on the auspicious occasion of Vaisakhi from the hands of Guru ji and took an oath to protect Sikhs forever.

After this, Baba Deep Singh ji returned to his village with his father’s order and came back to his parents.

One day a servant of Guru ji came to Baba Deep Singh ji, who told that Guru ji has left the fort of Anandpur Sahib for war with the kings of the hill.Due to this war, Guruji’s mother Mata Gujari and her 4 sons are all separated here.

Baba Deep Singh Ji immediately went out to meet Guruji after learning about this. After some time, Baba Deep Singh and Guru ji finally met in Damdama Sahib, Talwandi.

On reaching here, Baba Deep Singh Ji came to know that two sons of Guru Ji, Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh have been martyred in the battle of Chamkaur and His two younger sons Zoravar Singh and Fateh Singh were brutally murdered by Wazir Khan in Sirhind.

Before he left Guru Gobind Singh Ji completed the Guru Granth Sahib and handed it over to Baba Deep Singh Ji and gave him the responsibility of guarding it.Baba Deep Singh Ji re-wrote all the Vanis and teachings written in Guru Granth Sahib with his own hands and made 5 copies of Guru Granth Sahib.

Among these copies, one sent Shri Akal Takht Sahib, one Shri Takht Patna Sahib, Shri Takht Hazur Sahib and Shri Takht Anandpur Sahib. Apart from this, Baba Deep Singh Ji made a copy in Arabic language.Which he sent to the Middle East.
